It is with mixed emotions that Your Place
Pottery has made the difficult decision to close our retail store. This
doesn’t mean we have closed our business, but we are making some exciting
changes. After almost 4 years as a retail store, we are sad to close. We
know we will miss seeing our customers on a daily basis. We have made good
friends with many of you, and we will always cherish the friendships we’ve
made. However, we are very excited about the next direction our company is
taking! We are returning to our roots as a traveling pottery studio. This
will allow us to actually be home and to see our children grow up. We’ve
realized that we are missing the most precious times with our kids, and we
can never replace those. We decided, instead of spending 60 hours a week at
a retail location, we will come to you. That way, we will be working
smarter instead of harder. We are confident that those of you with children
will understand our reasons for our decision, and we hope you will support
us in this endeavor.
Our new company name is The Pottery Place
(that’s what everyone calls us anyway!) Our services now include:
Parties and get-togethers…We will come
to your location and bring great pottery to paint. Our staff will stay
and help your party guests create a masterpiece. We will then take the
pottery, fire it and return it within 10 days to your home or location.
For this type of event, we have a $100 minimum purchase. We will still
offer our party packages at $12, $16 or $20 per person. To book a party, we ask for a $25
service charge that is due at time of booking. This is refundable until 14 days before the party.
Pottery-to-you…If you would like to
order a piece of pottery, just call us or email us. We will deliver it,
with up to 5 colors of paint to your door. When you’re finished, simply
call or email us to schedule a pick-up date. We’ll pick up your piece,
fire it and return it to you within 10 days. The cost of this service
is the price of your pottery, plus a $10 convenience charge. We will
deliver to a 10 mile radius from the 33511 zip code area. If you live
further away, there will be an additional delivery charge. Also,
additional paints can be requested as needed for an additional fee.
Office Parties and Events…Did you know
that we have some really great plans for office events? We offer
terrific team building activities that everyone is sure to love!
Whether you choose for your group to work with clay or paint, company
morale will be improved by creating art together.
Portraits on Pottery…If you would like
to put a photo on pottery, just let us know! We’ll custom make a tile,
plate, mug or box with your photo. You can choose the colors and even
your design. The cost of this service depends on the piece of pottery
you choose. Prices start at $15.
Day Care and School classes…As always,
we will offer clay classes and pottery projects for day cares and
schools. We can visit your school weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or even
just once a year to work with your kids. Prices start at $5 per child,
and depend on the project you choose.
Hand painted pottery made to order…Need
a gift for grandma? Not a problem. Let us do the painting for you. We
will paint any piece of pottery to your specifications. The price, of
course, depends on the type of pottery and the detail of the project.
As you can see, we are certainly not going
out of business! We’ve got lots of work ahead of us. We look forward to
